Environmental Science Concentration
The environmental science concentration prepares students for work in regulatory agencies or private consulting firms dealing with environmental problems. Students in this program receive training in environmental pollutant regulation, monitoring, and technology , and an internship is strongly suggested.*
Concentration Requirements
Students are required to take the same chemistry courses required for the chemistry major , plus any four of the following cognate courses:
- Physical Geology
- Hydrogeology
- Oceanography
- Limnology
- Environmental Science
- Ecology
- Any Environmental Political Science Course
